Surely every girl deserves the right to a decent education? To be given the opportunity to learn new skills, so she can teach the next generation.
We believe that girls’ access to education will enable them to create more equal societies and break the cycle of poverty.
This Wednesday 9th December at Trafalgar Square from 5pm, we’ll be holding our ‘Silent Night?’ festive carol concert with a twist. Come along to see what surprises this carol concert will hold!

Use your voiceEvery young person deserves an education. It’s shocking to learn that in this day and age girls or young women are denied the opportunity to go to school, just because of their gender. We need to make a stand for girls rights and help them break free from the cycle of poverty.
It’s easy to take our education and healthcare privileges for granted when they’re readily available to us. It’s shocking that, in today’s age, such discrimination is still taking place. We just can’t ignore this any longer, we need to take action!
It’s unbelievable that child poverty and discrimination still takes place to this degree in such a seemingly progressive world. People must be educated on this in order to make a difference.
I believe that everyone should get same opportunities when it comes to education.
Why should the education a girl receives be any different to that of a boy? As a sponsor myself, I’m heartened to see the work Plan does in the developing world to support helping get young girls into school.
I am lucky to live in a society where my sex doesn't suppress me but sadly that's not the case for all girls today.
I am an avid believer that everyone be they male or female, deserves to be treated equally. The injustice some girl's face today is disgusting.
It's incredible to think that in the 21st Century there are girls anywhere in the world denied rights, education and advancement of any kind because of their gender. Everyone everywhere should do something to change that - women in particular.
As a nation, we now need to sit up and take notice of the challenges and discriminations girls face in the developing world.
As a sponsor myself, I
urge people to support Plan’s fight for a girl’s right to an education, just as hard as someone fought for ours.
